What UABC Stands For

Good evening distinguished guests, respected panelists, and fellow entrepreneurs,

It is an honor to welcome you all to this gathering of visionaries, builders, and leaders.

Today, I want to take a moment to speak on what UAE African Business Collaborations—UABC—truly stands for.

UABC was not created as just another networking group.
It was born out of a clear reality—that many African businesses in the UAE are operating in isolation, despite being in one of the most opportunity-rich economies in the world.

We saw talented entrepreneurs…
We saw hardworking professionals…
We saw ambitious investors…

But we also saw a gap.

A gap in structure.
A gap in collaboration.
And most importantly, a gap in access to real opportunities.

UABC exists to bridge that gap.

We stand for collaboration over competition.
Because when we work together, we don’t just grow—we multiply impact.

We stand for structure over informality.
Because in the UAE, opportunities do not respond to effort alone—they respond to credibility, compliance, and positioning.

We stand for access over assumptions.
Because information is not enough—what matters is how to access and benefit from the system.

And we stand for growth that is intentional and sustainable—not just survival.

At UABC, our mission is clear:
To build a trusted ecosystem where African businesses are not just present in the UAE, but are visible, respected, and competitive.

An ecosystem where:

  • Partnerships are formed
  • Opportunities are shared
  • Knowledge is practical
  • And growth is structured

We are positioning African entrepreneurs not just as participants, but as key contributors to the UAE economy.

And this is why conversations like today are important.

Because the truth is—
The UAE is full of opportunities.
From government support initiatives to billion-dirham economic packages…

But access is not automatic.

It requires a mindset shift.
A shift from:

  • Informal to structured
  • Isolated to connected
  • Reactive to strategic

That is what UABC represents.

We are not just building a network—
We are building a system that works for us.

A system that ensures that when opportunities arise,
African businesses are not left behind…
But are prepared, positioned, and ready to take advantage.

So today, I challenge every one of us:

Don’t just attend—engage.
Don’t just listen—apply.
Don’t just connect—collaborate.

Because the future we are building requires all of us.

Together, we can move from presence… to influence.
From participation… to ownership.
From potential… to results.

Thank you, and welcome to UABC.
