UABC Freelance Membership

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the participation, responsibilities, and conduct of all Freelance Members within UABC (UAE African Business Collaborations).

By registering as a Freelance Member, all members acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the following terms and conditions.


1. Purpose of Membership

The UABC Freelance Membership is designed to support freelancers, skilled professionals, consultants, creatives, and independent service providers through:

  • Networking opportunities
  • Business growth support
  • Visibility and promotion
  • Professional development
  • Access to trainings and collaborations
  • Business formalization support

2. Eligibility

Freelance Membership is open to:

  • Freelancers
  • Independent professionals
  • Skilled service providers
  • Consultants
  • Creatives and digital professionals
  • Individuals operating legally within the UAE

UABC reserves the right to approve or reject applications at its discretion.


3. Professional Conduct

All members are expected to:

  • Conduct themselves professionally and ethically
  • Respect other members and community leaders
  • Comply with UAE laws and regulations
  • Avoid fraudulent, misleading, or illegal activities
  • Maintain honesty in service delivery and representation

Any misconduct capable of damaging the reputation of UABC may result in suspension or termination of membership.


4. Community Networking & Opportunities

UABC may provide access to:

  • Business referrals
  • Networking opportunities
  • Collaborations
  • Visibility opportunities
  • Training and development programs

However:

  • UABC does not guarantee jobs, contracts, clients, income, or business success
  • Opportunities remain subject to market conditions, individual effort, and professional competence

5. Community Approval for Referrals & Dealings

All official referrals, collaborations, and business engagements involving UABC members should be accompanied by an approval, referral, or introduction note issued by UABC where applicable.

UABC shall not be responsible for disputes, losses, fraud, failed transactions, or misunderstandings arising from private dealings conducted outside the knowledge or approval of the community.

Members engaging independently do so at their own discretion and risk.


6. Business Formalization Support

UABC may provide guidance and support relating to:

  • Business structuring
  • Licensing guidance
  • Branding and positioning
  • Proposal and profile development
  • Documentation support
  • Professional growth support

Such support does not constitute legal, immigration, or financial guarantees.

Members remain fully responsible for compliance with UAE laws and licensing requirements.


7. Payments & Membership Fees

All membership fees, service fees, training fees, or related payments made to UABC are non-refundable unless otherwise approved in writing by UABC management.

Membership benefits remain active only during the valid membership period.


8. Discounts & Member Benefits

Freelance Members may access discounted services, trainings, and opportunities offered by UABC or approved partners.

Discounts and benefits may vary depending on:

  • Membership category
  • Partnership agreements
  • Service providers
  • Program availability

UABC reserves the right to modify benefits where necessary.


9. Intellectual Property & Brand Usage

Members shall not:

  • Misrepresent themselves as official representatives of UABC
  • Use UABC branding, logo, name, or identity without written approval
  • Create misleading representations associated with the community

Unauthorized use of the UABC identity is prohibited.


10. Confidentiality

Members agree to maintain confidentiality regarding:

  • Internal community information
  • Private member discussions
  • Business opportunities not publicly disclosed

unless authorized or legally required.


11. Non-Compete & Community Protection

Freelance Members shall not:

  • Use the community for fraudulent purposes
  • Defraud other members or partners
  • Mislead clients or community stakeholders
  • Use UABC confidential information against the interest of the community

Any action capable of harming the integrity or reputation of UABC may result in immediate removal.


12. Training & Events

Participation in trainings, meet-ups, mentorship sessions, or networking events does not guarantee:

  • Financial success
  • Client acquisition
  • Business growth
  • Employment opportunities

Results depend on individual implementation, professionalism, and market conditions.


13. Termination of Membership

UABC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where:

  • Terms are violated
  • Fraudulent activities occur
  • False information is provided
  • Conduct damages the reputation or operations of the community

Termination may occur without prior notice where necessary.


14. Amendments

UABC reserves the right to review, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions where necessary for operational, legal, or community development purposes.


15. Governing Principles

All Freelance Members are expected to operate based on:

  • Professionalism
  • Integrity
  • Respect
  • Ethical business practices
  • Community growth and collaboration

By proceeding with registration, all Freelance Members acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
