Membership Terms & Conditions & Rules of Engagement


1. Introduction

UABC is a structured collaboration platform established to connect African entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders operating in or connected to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

By applying for or accepting membership, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions and Rules of Engagement.


2. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to:

  • African entrepreneurs and business owners in the UAE

  • Professionals and executives of African origin

  • Investors and stakeholders interested in African–UAE business collaboration

  • Corporate entities aligned with UABC’s objectives

All applicants may be subject to review and approval by UABC administration.


3. Membership Purpose

UABC exists to:

  • Promote structured collaboration among African businesses

  • Encourage partnerships, joint ventures, and referrals

  • Facilitate networking and knowledge sharing

  • Strengthen visibility and representation of African-owned businesses

  • Support sustainable economic growth within the UAE

Membership does not guarantee contracts, funding, or business outcomes.


4. Membership Responsibilities

All members agree to:

  1. Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

  2. Represent their businesses truthfully and accurately.

  3. Respect fellow members regardless of nationality, religion, or business size.

  4. Uphold the reputation and credibility of UABC.

  5. Engage constructively and contribute positively to the community.


5. Code of Conduct

Members shall not:

  • Post misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information.

  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior.

  • Share political, religious, or divisive content unrelated to business.

  • Use the platform for scams, pyramid schemes, or unethical practices.

  • Circulate confidential information without consent.

Violation may result in warning, suspension, or termination of membership.


6. Promotional & Commercial Activity

  • Promotional posts must remain relevant, professional, and value-driven.

  • Excessive advertising, spam, or repetitive promotions are prohibited.

  • UABC may require approval before certain promotional activities.

  • Members are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into business agreements.

UABC is not liable for transactions conducted between members.


7. Confidentiality

Members agree to respect the privacy of discussions, business opportunities, and shared information within the platform.

Confidential or sensitive information must not be disclosed outside the group without consent.


8. Membership Fees (If Applicable)

Where applicable:

  • Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Fees must be paid within the stipulated timeframe.

  • Failure to comply may result in suspension of benefits.


9. Events & Participation

Members may be invited to networking sessions, business forums, or collaborative programs.

Participation may be subject to registration, eligibility, or additional fees. UABC reserves the right to determine participation criteria.


10. Suspension & Termination

UABC reserves the right to:

  • Issue warnings for non-compliance

  • Suspend membership privileges

  • Remove any member whose conduct threatens the integrity of the platform

Termination may occur without prior notice in cases of serious misconduct.
